Allow your employees to install the desktop application on their Windows 10 computer. The Spencer application will be made available in the Microsoft Store where employees can easily search, install and update the app.
The Spencer application will also be available for organizations to purchase in volume through Microsoft Store for Business. This can be done with Microsoft Store-managed (online) and organization-managed (offline) licensing.
How to get started
Well, to keep it short ā you don't have to do a thing. We will make sure that your Spencer application will be properly set up, configured, managed and updated! š
Note: If you don't want your app to be found in the Microsoft Store, it is possible to hide it and make it only available via your organization's download page.
Note: If you would like to distribute the app through organization-managed (offline) licensing, please contact your Customer Success Manager so we can enable this for your Spencer application.
What if I don't run Windows 10 on my computer?
If you don't have Windows 10 (or higher) installed on your computer, you won't be able to download application via the Microsoft Store. Therefore we'll add a link to download the Spencer application to your organization's download page.
Having installation options for both Windows 10 (store version) and direct download can be used simultaneously.
Note: The downside of not having a store version available on computers running on an older version op Windows is that the application will not be updated automatically. After each app release, the latest version will be made available to download.
Microsoft Store ownership
No need for you join the Microsoft Developer Program. All of our Spencer application are managed on our own Microsoft Developer Account. So you don't have to worry about that! No hassle of making sure the right permissions are granted, policies are set up, certificates are being created, ... Plus it will save you $99 a year! š
Private distribution of the Windows app
Next to the option to distribute the application via managed licences in the Microsoft Store, you can also distribute Spencer through your own Device Management solution. A Spencer installation file (.exe) can be delivered to your MDM-admin of each app update.
