In order to give you better insights in which content gets viewed (or ignored) the most, we have our impression metric.

We apply a 3-second threshold with 75% of the card in view to ensure meaningful engagement with your content:

  • If a user views an article but leaves the page or scrolls again within 3 seconds, it will not count as an impression.

  • If a user has your content for minimum 3 seconds on their screen visible it counts as a valid impression.

Additionally, the browser must be active. If a user is working with multiple screens and does not actively stay on the open browser for at least 3 seconds, it will not count as an impression.

For users accessing content via both the web and app, impressions are counted twice (once for each platform). However, this counts as only one unique view.

Leverage the impressions metric to identify which content works best for your employees.

You have multiple combinations possible.

  • High impressions & High opens = This is amazing content, create more of this

  • Low impressions & High opens = This content is clearly appealing, but needs to be pushed more towards your employees. Try to use push notifications or share the article via a sharelink across other platforms.

  • High impressions & Low opens = This content gets ignored by your employees. This is great info for you as a content creator. Try to change the title to make it more descriptive, update your summary field to explain better why users should read this in more detail. Don’t forget to apply the SOWHAT? methodology. Write the clear benefit first for the user in the summary.

  • Low impressions & low opens = This article needs to receive more visibility. Try moving it to the featured section to put it more in the spotlight.
