The Usage page now provides detailed, granular reports. You can explore multiple views that break down activation and usage by site, department, country, region, division, subdivision, and job title.
This enables you to:
Identify your champion audiences – the groups most engaged with the platform
Compare audience segments – spot differences in adoption and usage across teams or locations
Detect underperforming groups – quickly find where engagement is lagging, so you can take targeted action
The Usage page is organized into four key sections, each offering a different lens on user engagement and platform adoption:
Last Logged In
This view helps identify active, disengaged, and dormant users at a glance.
On the left, you'll find activation graphs, which show how many users have downloaded the app and successfully logged in at least once—these users are considered active users.
The graph compares this number to the total number of users in the group. This is particularly useful during the initial rollout phase, as it helps track onboarding progress and early engagement.
On the right, you’ll see how frequently users engage with the platform, specifically showing when they last logged in.
Green (Last 7/14/30 Days): Indicates recent and active engagement.
Yellow/Orange (Within the Last 100 Days): Users who haven’t logged in for a while—potential drop-off.
Red (More than 100 Days): Long-term inactivity; these users may require re-engagement efforts.
On the different levels, you can use several filters to see your target audiences in different ways:
1. Search for a specific audience group
2. Filter on country level
3. And sort based on activation, usage, name or how big an audience is
Want to see this sort from smallest to largest or from Z to A? Click the arrow and the order is reversed.
There are two main types of exports available on the Usage page:
1. Overview Export
By clicking “Export” on the Overview tab, you’ll receive a CSV file containing two key datasets:
measurements_export_usage_logged_in_user_by_country
measurements_export_usage_active_users
This gives you a high-level summary of login activity and user engagement across countries.
2. Filtered Tab Export
For any of the other tabs, you can export the specific filtered view you've set up by clicking the Export button in the top-right corner.
The export reflects your current filters (e.g., department, region, job title) and is delivered as a CSV file to your email inbox.
Active Users
This section gives you insights into how many users are actively engaging with the platform over time. It includes two main metrics:
Activated Seats
Shown on the left-hand chart (blue line), Activated Seats refers to users who have logged in at least once since the start of the rollout.
Definition:
Activated = user has logged in at least once (ever)
Active Users
On the right-hand chart, you can see how many users are actively using the platform on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Monthly Active Users (MAU) – Blue line
Weekly Active Users (WAU) – Red line
Daily Active Users (DAU) – Yellow line
Definition:
Active user = someone who has used the platform at least once within the selected time frame (day, week, or month)
Monthly Active Users
This chart shows how many unique users actively used the platform during each month.
What is a Monthly Active User (MAU)?
A Monthly Active User is defined as a user who has logged in and used the platform at least once within a given month.
Platform Used
Each bar represents platform usage distribution for one month. The height of each colored section reflects the percentage of users who accessed the platform using that method.

Content read by hour
This chart shows when users are most actively reading content throughout the day. It helps you identify peak reading times and tailor your communication accordingly.
Tips & Tricks
For long-term success, aim to keep users active at least once a month.
User engagement will also depend on the amount of content you publish and the app’s ability to make daily tasks easier.
If the app includes features that streamline users' workflows, it could significantly increase daily usage.
