Distributing Your Survey: Two Effective Methods
You can distribute a survey in two primary ways:
Directly in the Feed
Attached to a News Article
Each method has its own advantages depending on the type of survey you want to conduct.
1. Push Your Survey Directly into the Feed
This option is ideal for quick, simple surveys or questions that don't require additional context. It's an effective way to get instant responses from your audience.
Steps to distribute your survey in the feed:
Select Visibility: In the "Visibility" settings, choose the option "Show card in Dashboard feed".
Target Audience: Select the audience you want to see the survey in their feed.
Add a Push Notification (Optional): You can enhance visibility by attaching a push notification, ensuring more attention and higher participation.
By pushing the survey into the feed, you increase its visibility and encourage immediate responses.
2. Attach Your Survey to a News Article
For surveys that require more context or explanation, linking the survey to a news article is the best approach. This allows you to provide additional details about the purpose of the survey, giving your audience the information they need before they participate.
Steps to link your survey to a news article:
In the news article details section, below the header image, you'll see a field called Survey.
Select your survey from the dropdown menu or use the search bar to find a specific one.
Once selected, update or publish the news article, and the survey will be visible at the bottom of the article.
This method is ideal for collecting feedback where context or background information is necessary.
Time-Sensitive Surveys
If your survey has a limited participation period, you can set an expiration date. Once the expiration date is reached, the survey will no longer be available for responses.
To set a survey expiration:
Set the desired expiration date and time in the survey settings.
After the expiration, employees or participants will no longer be able to take the survey.
Additional Settings
Allow Changes After Participation: If you want participants to be able to change their answers after submitting, enable the option "Allow participants to edit responses."
Anonymity: If you prefer to collect anonymous responses and avoid collecting personal information, enable the "Anonymous" setting to ensure that the survey remains confidential.
